ben russell of our affiliate kxas tv joins us live from grapevine, texas. ben, is there any idea in terms of motive? i know it's early. >> reporter: it's still early in this investigation, obviously, though this did play out some almost 24 hours ago. no, there is no known motive at least one that police are telling us about. there's also no outward sign of the tragedy that played out in this sliding glass door and frame here of this apartment complex in grapevine that you describe as a suburb of north texas. here is what we do know at this point. no one heard any of the gunshots that were fired inside of this home. someone called 911 at 11:30, but that person did not speak into the phone. an operator then sent grapevine, texas, police to go and investigate and they found a scene to go and talk about now. we also had information that the suspected shooter in this case, a middle-aged man and may have been dressed as santa claus. grapevine police have not confirmed that information. the seven victims are reportedly related. four women and three men between the
